Henri Cartier-Bresson (August 22, 1908 – August 3, 2004) is one of the most well known photographers around the globe and is considerd by many to be the godfather of modern photojounalism photogrphing things such as Ghandi's funeral and the last stages of the Chinese civil war.and is most notable for starting what the world camt to know as "the decisive moment".
The Decisive Moment: The decisive moment is when a picture is taken at a significant point in time of an incident, a photo that would not be the same if taken a second later or earlier. It is often stated that the first example of this kind of photo was the man jumping over a puddle in Paris which was taken by Henri Cartier-Bresson through the gap in a fence.
